Delta Limited Edition 52" unisaw
The table saw is the most used tool in my shop, and that's why I put allot of thought into this investment. My review on this saw is all positive. The assembly was straight forward, and the manual was very informative
in the way the saw went together. Once everything was set up with all the little minor adjustments, it does not move. About once every couple of months I'll go ahead and check to make sure everything is square and level, and I have to say I never have to re-calibrate. Only when I have to move things around, I'll do some small adjustments. The only thing I would like to see changed is the way the extension table is mounted to the body of the saw. There are three L brackets that hold the table to the cast iron wing, and it's very hard to level the table with the cast iron top when alone. It's really a two-three person deal when assembling this saw-not to mention the weight is a factor when your by yourself. The nuts and bolts and the L brackets hold them tightly together some-what. But there is a little up and down movement with the extension table to the saw top, because there are elongated holes for adjustments in the L brackets and I have them as tight as they will go. If you are thinking of buying this saw I would recommend getting the mobile base. The saw is very heavy and there is no way you are moving it without a mobile base. It works very well. There is a slight rocking when the saw in on the base, but you really have to get up on it and try for it to rock. The base does have adjustment points on it to level the whole unit, like my shop I don't think there is a level point on the floor. So they come in handy. This saw is my best investment out of any tool, I use it for very large stock right down to small cuts and trim work. There is very little vibration and not as loud as people think it would be.... Can't beat it!!
